My goal is to converse with the world.

Hannah Arendt writes : " The word appearance wouldn’t mean anything if such receptors for appearance did not exist. "

With the works I have been creating until now, I am continually intrigued by the encounter between the artwork and the viewer : How can he/she perceive/ interact/ dialogue with it ? My activity has been developed around my perception of materials and their relation to  the world and potentiality to converse with it.

My work is based on everyday life, guided by intuition and has been influenced by the multicultural context in which I have lived and produced my artworks as well as through traveling. Notions such as 'vagabondage research', 'almost nothing' and 'found material' are constantly questioned and have determined my work method. How far do they reflect the social/political/geographical context in which they are developed and from which they are extracted ?

I would situate my field of research on the border of two distinct but permeating domains:  photography and sculpture.

I am planning to explore several research projects in the future:

1- Photographic project

I plan to use photography to capture ephemeral moments, 'found situations' on the street and more particularly in historical areas located in the city center and the place where I’m living. I would like to explore the notions of 'micro-events', 'daily archeology' and through it to catch fragments of life and acquire a better understanding of the way the city and its inhabitants interact and function as a whole.

The taking of pictures (establishing a certain distance from the subject) and the assembling of  images (creating series), two questions inherent to photography and printing / publishing, have been at the core of my interests. I expect  the “found” compositions to activate the inquisitor’s view towards an idea about the materiality of things, their worthlessness and their uselessness.

The spontaneity in gesture and the choice of the exhibition space are essential factors in the making of my work.

2- Sculptural and installation project.

My sculptures are usually made of rough materials collected in a specific urban area which is an extension of the place where I live (home and studio). How does the displacement of these 'found' materials change/ transform their meaning and function ?

These sculptures and installations will be realized through my travels and stays in different cities and will echo the recent piece -  ‘Untiteld ( flohmarktzeit )’ or (Le Pain Perdu).

I am interested in relating it to a context which will highlight it. I present a poetic vision of/in our common environment in order to make it be visible, easily shared.

I consider the realization of these research projects as a way of reflecting on the world.

One of the artist’s missions is to make something visible in this world, I invite people not to discuss about " my personal universe " but by using an association of signs, common memories,  imaginaries to have another reading of our time and the reality.
